DEADMAN INK was built on the belief that’s it’s never too late to create something different - or follow a new path.

Founded by Marc Smith in 2019, Deadman Ink began as a small independent tattoo studio in Weston Village, Runcorn, and has since grown into a creative brand bringing together tattooing, art, apparel and hospitality under one identity. 

An artist and tattoo enthusiast for over 30 years, Marc trained at the award-winning Tattoo Academy in Liverpool before continuing his development at the renowned Original Dr Feelgood Tattoo Studio under the guidance of Ray Charnock.

After a 35-year career as a hotelier, Marc decided at 50 years young, to change direction completely and turn his lifelong passion for tattoo culture and design into something of his own.

This decision became DEADMAN INK.

What started with the tattoo studio has continued to evolve. Today, the DEADMAN world extends beyond tattooing into original artwork and apparel - including our adult DEATH MOTH APPAREL collection and our children’s apparel range TMRWLGND™. We also have our award-winning DEADMAN’S KITCHEN that operates out of The Royal Oak in Weston Village.

Despite this growth, the idea behind DEADMAN INK remains simple; create something original, do it properly and never be afraid to take a different path.

The tattoo studio remains at the heart of it all - a relaxed, welcoming space where people can talk through ideas, develop bespoke designs or simply call in and discover what DEADMAN INK is all about.
